The Hairdressers’ Charity rebrands as Hair and Beauty Charity

The Hairdressers’ Charity has been rebranded as the Hair and Beauty Charity.

The new name reflects the work the charity already does within the barbering and beauty industries.

Hair and Beauty charity has a heritage dating back to 1853 and continues to help industry professionals.

The charity relies on support from corporate sponsors but would love to hear from other brands interested in supporting it. Current sponsors include L’Oreal Professionnel, Wella Professionals, Salon Services, ghd, Schwarzkopf, Goldwell, A.S.P, BaByliss PRO and NHF/NBF.

Fundraising from hair and beauty professionals is also vital to raise income and to increase the charity’s awareness. You could make a regular donation, organise your own fundraiser or sign up to one of the charity’s annual events. These include a bike ride, golf day, dedicated fundraising weeks, a charity ball and raffle.

‘Natural progression’

Samantha Grocutt from Essence PR, Co-President of Hair & Beauty Charity, said: “This rebrand is a natural progression for us since we became a nationally recognised charity in 2016. We have always supported those in the beauty and barbering industries and now it helps to clarify our focus.”

Philip Sharp from A.S.P, Co-President of Hair & Beauty Charity, said: “Our mission is to help hair and beauty professionals in need. We offer financial support to individuals and their families facing difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, bereavement and financial hardship. Our beneficiaries are supported with regular payments or one-off grants to make their lives a little easier.”
