ABLE ANNOUNCES NEW COLLEGE PARTNERSHIP
Andrew Barton’s ABLE (Andrew Barton London Education) education programme is delighted to announce a new partnership with Coleg Gwent – one of Wales’ largest and top performing further education colleges
Sarah will work with other industry professionals to review the current Standard – and help develop the next wave – which will then be used as the basis of future hairdressing qualifications.
A fully qualified hairdresser, Sarah has worked in the industry for over two decades and cares passionately about young people’s learning in the industry and the outcomes of their investment in training.
She worked closely with Andrew Barton to create Andrew Barton London Education (ABLE) and is responsible for ensuring that it supports hairdressing education for apprentices both now and in the future.
Sarah said: “I am highly honoured to be a part of this group of experts from within our industry. I look forward to working with experienced individuals to help form and shape the next generation of qualifications for the hairdressers of our future.”
It was Sarah’s intuition that future-proofed the content of ABLE so it met with long-anticipated Level 3 Standard Apprenticeship in Hairdressing, which came into force earlier this year.
ABLE is an extended qualification linked to the industry and empowers employment opportunities with an ABLE certificate alongside the traditional Standard/technical qualification.
ABLE provides teachers with a package of additional resources to enhance delivery and build upon the students learning and experience.
