One month left to enter Wella Professionals’ XPOSURE 2019

Students take note – there’s just a month left to enter Wella Professionals’ hairdressing competition, XPOSURE 2019.

Every iconic hairdresser needs a launch pad, and Wella’s student competition could kick-start your career.

XPOSURE is a nationwide hairdressing competition solely aimed at hairdressing students with less than 5 years of experience giving them the opportunity to take their first steps on the competition ladder.

The competition closes on Monday 4th February 2019 at 5pm, so there’s still time to enter.

Entrants must have no more than 5 years’ experience and there are two categories: College or Private Training Academy.

The first stage of the competition is photographic whereby students are required to create a commercial cut and colour look using any branded products.

Students are judged on their total look with marks awarded for cut & finish and colour. Entry is all online and students simply upload their finished image.

The talented individuals that get through this initial stage will then go through to the Regional Heats, where students go head-to-head with other students around the UK in an hour-long competition. The day includes an inspirational show from some of the industry’s top Guest Artists.

The final stage of the competition is the UK Final where finalists will experience the ultimate in hairdressing competitions and battle it out to be crowned the XPOSURE UK Gold, Silver or Bronze Winner 2019.

Plus, they can expect even more incredible shows from inspiration Guest Artists.

All winners will receive money can’t buy prizes, including a mentoring day with some inspirational industry icons at the Wella World Studio in London, a tailor-made Wella education programme, a toolkit, and XPOSURE trophy. Gold winners will also be invited for an exclusive behind the scenes day at the TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final 2019.

Competitors that get past the photographic stage will benefit from the support of a digital mentoring programme from Xposure 2019 mentors Angelo Vallillo from DNA Art Space and Peter Mellon from Medusa.

They will receive emails from mentors, with tips and hints to develop their skills. There will also be plenty of opportunities to ask the mentors for personalised advice. This truly is an exceptional launch pad for any student hairdresser to kick-start their hairdressing journey.

Entry deadline: Monday 4th February 2019, 5pm
Photographic results announced: Friday 15th March 2019
Regional Heats: 29th April 2019, 1st 2nd and 3rd May 2019
UK Final: Monday 3rd June 2019
