New Digital Launches from the Fellowship for British Hairdressing

The Fellowship’s The Knowledge will end its first year with a bang – as it releases two new series which will be shown on Facebook Live and the Fellowship website.

 

The Fellowship will be rounding out 2020 with the introduction of an exciting new format – Life Stories – and with the return of lockdown favourite, Drinks with the President.

 

These weekly broadcasts will allow the Fellowship to build on the success of its existing digital outreach and allow members, sponsors and the hairdressing community to stay engaged, inspired and connected to the industry.

Fellowship President Ken Picton, said: “We’re excited to launch new content for the last quarter of the year to build on our connection with members, sponsors and the wider hairdressing community. Our online streaming platform, #THEKNOWLEDGE, has been our lifeline over the last few months.

 

“When we launched it one year ago, we had no idea that we’d be ahead of the game with a dynamic digital service that would see us through a pandemic, but we’re proud to have used it to share content during lockdown that has kept everyone engaged, entertained and educated.”

Life Stories

 

This exciting format is a new initiative for the Fellowship, combining live interviews with leading industry names with an exciting opportunity for members. Broadcasting on a Sunday evening with one special guest per episode, the show will celebrate inspiring careers through a combination of live interviews, surprise appearances and insightful stories.

 

Guests will be interviewed from the studio, salon or home, with in-depth interviews covering everything you never knew you wanted to know about some of the industry’s most iconic names – and it’s live, so anything could happen!

As a special bonus opportunity for Fellowship members, each interview will be followed by a digital meet and greet. Limited to 25 places, available on a first-come, first-served basis, members will be given the chance to talk the special guests in more detail, pick their brains and enjoy the unparalleled opportunity to ask some industry icons ANYTHING!

Drinks with the President

 

Back due to popular demand, #MrPresident Ken Picton will once again be opening up his bar to welcome some special guests for a – virtual – drink or two. Drinks with the President launched during lockdown in light of the postponed President’s Night, which was unable to take place in April.

The format sees Ken prop up the bar in his Cardiff salon, with special guests joining him virtually to raise a glass, share some stories and generally raise a smile – with all mentions of the ‘c’ word banned! Ken will be hosting two extra rounds of drinks to see out the year, with special guests and more chat, stories and anecdotes in a relaxed setting.
