Meet the Hair Co-Operative Art Team

no comments

A new art team has been formed to take part in stage shows and photoshoots – and give opportunities to new hairdressers.

The Hair Co-Operative Art Team is the brainchild of Darrel Starkey-Gettings, owner of the award-winning Taylor’s Hair Studio in Skegness.

Darrel was a finalist in both the Denman Stage Star and Affinage Colour Rebel competitions last year and is part of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s PROJECT: Colour team for 2020.

“Hair Co-Operative Art Team was born out of the love we all have for this incredible industry,” said Darrel.

“Each of us are from different salons in different parts of the county but are coming together to produce, showcase and inspire as a collective.”

Darrel said the Hair Co-Operative Art Team wants to push boundaries but also to work with people coming into the industry and give them opportunities to assist on shows or help out on shoots.

“As a team during 2020 we are just wanting to show that you don’t need to feel alone. This industry is one of the most supportive in the world if you allow yourself to open up to others.”

Let’s meet the rest of the Hair Co-Operative Art Team.
