Anne Veck has released its training dates for 2019 – which focus on bridal and vintage hairstyling.

Focus on the bride – Sunday 24th February

Introduction to bridal hairstyling (this workshop can be booked as Part 1 with 31st March below as Part 2) 

Learn how to create fashionable but classic long hair styles perfect for brides.

Students will create beautiful shapes using chignon and French pleat techniques, freeing themselves from over-dependence on hairpins and hairspray! You will also learn how to secure a tiara and veil.

For stylists with a basic knowledge of hair up and beginners with NVQ Level 2.

Participants should bring a hair up brush, pin tail comb, hair grips, elastic bands, sectioning clips, hairspray and straighteners to curl with. 

Advanced bridal hair styling – Sunday 31st March 

This workshop can be booked as Part 2 follow-on from 24th Feb) 

Learn to incorporate clip-on extensions and padding to achieve gravity defying volume, giving long voluptuous styles to delight your bride. Create amazing shapes to produce fantastic images for your portfolio. 

For stylists with at least one year on the salon floor and able to do basic hair up and ideal for those involved in photoshoots and show work.

Participants should bring hair up brush, pin tail comb, hair grips, elastic bands, sectioning clips, hair spray, straighteners, curling tongues or conical wand. 

Vintage Me – Sunday 23rd June

Classic, vintage styles are always in demand. Learn to produce finger waves, revisit traditional setting techniques to achieve retro styles. All with the help of modern tools and products to produce the perfect 2019 Gatsby girl.

Morning Session: Demonstration of finger wave techniques. Explanation of methods of setting to achieve the perfect curl. Create beautiful rolls.

Afternoon session: Students recreate the morning looks on mannequin heads.

For hairdressers at all levels, stylists, make-up artists. You will need to bring hairdressing equipment including brushes, combs, section clips, dryer and heated appliance to create curls, hair grips, pins, rubber bands.
